«Емма» — четвертий роман англійської письменниці Джейн Остен (1775–1817). Головна героїня роману Емма Вудгауз — молода, багата й екстравагантна дівчина. Її мати давно померла, старша сестра одружилася, і відтоді Емма — єдина господиня дому. Вона не знає реального світу, але вважає, що завжди має рацію. Міс Вудгауз переконана, що ніколи не вступить в шлюб, однак радо виконує взяту на себе роль свахи.

"Emma" is the fourth novel by the English writer Jane Austen (1775–1817). The main character of the novel, Emma Woodhouse, is a young, rich and extravagant girl. Her mother died a long time ago, her older sister got married, and since then Emma is the sole mistress of the house. She does not know the real world, but she believes that she is always right. Miss Woodhouse is convinced that she will never marry, but she gladly fulfills the role of matchmaker.
